The coats got wet when an overhead sewer line broke. The plumber suspects the line backed up due to rainwater which runs through it and broke. The insured has rejected the coats, saying that they would not be able to revamp them. Most appear to the adjuster to have some value, and can be reclaimed, although they would not be marketable as first run.
