I do a professional job but don?t charge what my competitors charge.  For example: last week, a young lady spent $50 to recharge her a/c unit, but it leaked out.  Then she took it to Pep Boys for diagnoses.  They determined that it was the condenser and offered to repair it for $750, ($408 labor)!!!  She called me, and I repaired it for $200 at her job.  I have many other recent examples.   Monday, a now happy customer was told by a shop that he needed an air condition compressor on his Pontiac and to replace it and the dryer; they quoted him $1,100 to do the job.  I diagnosed it and determined that it did not need a compressor, just over pressurized.  I repaired it for only $40.    Derrick was quoted $1,200 to replace his compressor on his Volkswagen, I charged $150.  Troy was quoted $1,500 to replace his compressor for a xxxx Dodge Ram Diesel, I charged him only $150.    Also, I usually can determine the cause of a/c problems by listening to the description of the symptoms over the phone and I will do this free.
